About Us
We were incorporated in 1998, and initially we developed MFC user interface libraries
and supplied contract development resources to a variety of companies including
Motorola.
In 2003 we started trading under the name Advantage Software Solutions, acquired
Microsoft Gold Certified Partner status, and expanded into a full Microsoft Consultancy
Practice covering the full range of Microsoft products. |
Though successful in many
senses, this relative lack of specialism changed the company from being technology-driven
to being sales-driven. This ultimately didn't suit us, and the trading name of Advantage
Software Solutions and its' client base was sold off to another consultancy in September
2006.
During this time though we ended up focusing heavily on Microsoft BizTalk and the fields of Business Process Management and Enterprise Application Integration. Our efforts since late 2005 have been focused on writing a similar tool that addresses some of the weaknesses of BizTalk whilst being significantly easier to use and manage, and we have certainly now achieved these aims with SmartsIntegrator. We then
developed SmartsAutoWeb, initially as a complementary solution to expose web data
in Xml form, but ultimately as a valuable independent solution for web automation
and web data extraction.
Over the years we've worked for some household names including Deutschebank, MacroMedia (now Adobe) and Accenture. However, we get just as much enjoyment working for smaller clients, and our clients genuinely range from part-time one-man outfits through to global investment banks. It's all about adding value, and we relish the opportunity to do this every time.
